■Monaural mini plug
タイの祝い事に欠かせない爆音BGMを演奏する、日本唯一のピン・ケーン・プラユック・バンド。タイ、ラオスのメコン河周辺の音楽家のもとで修行し身につけた本場仕込みの祝宴グルーヴを、タイから直輸入した現地と同じ220Vの移動式サウンドシステムで完全再現する。東京を拠点にライブハウスや屋外フェス、公園やレストランで活動中。2018年に初のフル・アルバム『Samurai Mekong Activity』をPヴァインよりリリース。2019年 FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’19出演。CM等にも楽曲提供を行う。
【 MMP220 】
日本唯一のピンケーンプラユックバンドMonaural mini plugが製作・運用するADM特化型超爆低音サウンドシステム。
1980年代、ジャマイカの名門サウンドSTONE LOVEの音に感銘を受けた紀平三兄弟の下、制作されたKILLASANサウンドシステム。後にベルリンのHARD WAX(BASIC CHANNEL)など、様々な土地に渡り、受け継がれる事となる。この伝説のサウンドシステムを元にMonaural mini plugがウーファーを制作。さらにタイ、ピンプラユックの師匠であるテックラムプルーン率いるコンプートン楽団より譲り受けたホーンシステムを搭載。その他浅草ロック座等、アジア各地で感銘を受けたサウンドシステムの要素を取り入れ、電源電圧220Vへの昇圧、LEDによる独自の装飾等、唯一無二のスタイルで新たな音の表現を追求している。

Monaural mini plug take their signature live melodies and release them as a single-track cassette. From traditional phin melodies paying homage to Ton Sai Tabtanon—the pioneer of the electric phin—to Y2K-era anthems and even Shandong classics, all are reimagined in a fierce Isan style. Packaged as single extended tracks, the release is also DJ-friendly. The artwork draws inspiration from the colors of their own custom-built sound system, MMP220. Includes 12 tracks in total, with download code.


■Monaural mini plug
The only phin–khaen–prayuk band in Japan, Monaural mini plug perform the explosive party music essential to Thai celebrations. Trained by musicians around the Mekong River in Thailand and Laos, they faithfully recreate the authentic festive groove on a mobile 220V sound system imported directly from Thailand. Based in Tokyo, they perform in live houses, outdoor festivals, parks, and restaurants. Their first full-length album, Samurai Mekong Activity, was released in 2018 on P-Vine, followed by an appearance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’19. They also provide music for commercials and other media projects.


■MMP220
A massive, bass-heavy sound system built and operated by Monaural mini plug, designed specifically for ADM (Asian Dance Music). Inspired by KILLASAN Sound System, originally crafted under the guidance of the Kihira brothers in the 1980s after hearing the legendary Jamaican Stone Love, MMP220 inherits this lineage while adding unique twists. Monaural mini plug constructed their own woofers, incorporated horn speakers passed down from Master Theklampluen’s Khonphutorn ensemble in Thailand, and drew further inspiration from iconic Asian venues such as Asakusa Rockza. Operating at boosted 220V with LED-lit decoration, MMP220 represents a one-of-a-kind sonic expression.
